For those who don’t know, LTUE (Life the Universe and Everything) is an annual science fiction and fantasy symposium that has been held at Brigham Young University for the past 28 years. Many authors, editors, artists, and other experts work together on panels to discuss a variety of topics and offer their professional insight.
In the past I’ve visited a few classes, but 2010 is my first year in actual attendance (at least until 3pm, when I had to leave each day so I could go to work). I obviously did not participate as a panelist, but I thoroughly enjoyed the panels I was able to attend.
I got to shake Richard Hatch’s hand (He is the actor who played Apollo in the original Battlestar Galactica, and Tom Zarek in the recent reimagined series)!
And while I’m boasting, I also got books signed from Brandon Sanderson, James Dashner, Bryan Beus, Larry Correia, Laura Bingham, and Nathan Hale, as well as a bookmark signed by Paul Genesse, bringing my book collection’s total number of distinct signatures to 19 (plus 22 repeats). But while I’m excited about this detail, I’m sure no one else cares.
